Three Trek-Segafredo racers finished in the top ten in the first-ever Paris-Roubaix Femmes. But this race was about far more than the results.
In Paris-Roubaix’s 125 years of existence, this premier event on the Classics calendar has developed rich traditions. Since the 1940s, it has finished with a lap in the Roubaix Velodrome. Winners are awarded a trophy made from a cobblestone taken from the course. And, after the race, riders wash the mud and grit away in iconic concrete shower stalls, which are adorned with brass plaques commemorating past winners.
But until 2021, there was something missing from the tradition of Paris-Roubaix: women.
‘Never Look Back’ is an intimate portrait of the day the professional women’s peloton took their first pedal strokes in the first-ever Paris-Roubaix Femmes. Watch the film to see this monumental moment through the eyes of the women who made history.
